VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Kalman & Company, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Counts to Director of Navy Programs. The standup of the Navy Program Directorate affirms Kalman’s commitment to the criticality success of the US Navy. This promotion enhances Mr. Counts’ current operational and strategic leadership and fortify Kalman’s reach supporting Navy missions and objectives.
Mr. Counts is a retired USN Lieutenant Commander (Mustang) with over forty (40) years’ experience in operations management, naval engineering programs, quality management and process improvement models, including the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Compatibility Maturity Matrix Model Integration (CMMI)and specifically, over fifteen (15) years directly supporting the Extreme Environments Life Support Branch (E14) of Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division; eight (8) years of which he was the Program Manager (PM) for the Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD) – Individual Protection Equipment (IPE) – Material Readiness Support Services (MRSS) contracts (now currently supported under Kalman’s F3001 contract Team).
Since joining the Kalman team in 2022, Mr. Counts has innovated and codified processes within our successful execution of Navy programs as Program Manager. His strategic vision informed by his sense of duty and meticulous dedication to the mission, will continue to foster sustained growth for the Kalman Team and our current and future Navy clients.
